It depends on the nature of the upgrades. Structural modifications, like converting a shower into a curbless walk-in shower, typically require a permit due to adjustments to floor joists. However, simple improvements such as upgrading cabinets or installing grab bars usually do not require a permit. We handle the coordination of permits from start to finish as part of our design process, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience for our clients.
