Elevated Addition

With a growing young family, these clients sought to expand their home without the hassle of moving. Collaborating closely with them to understand their needs and desires, the decision was made to renovate and expand the entire second floor.

This transformation turned the existing layout from four bedrooms and two bathrooms into a spacious six-bedroom, three-bathroom haven. A new primary suite, featuring an ensuite with a steam shower and double vanity, was added over the existing garage. Two walk-in closets provide ample storage space while large windows flood the room with natural light, creating a sense of spaciousness and openness.

As part of the new addition, a second bedroom was built, complete with its own ensuite and walk-in closet. The existing second floor was reconfigured to accommodate a more functional shared bathroom and provide extra closet space for family members.

The newly renovated second floor ensures that every family member has their own private retreat, while also offering abundant space to comfortably host guests.

Country Ranch Revival

This country ranch home had seen better days and was in dire need of repairs and modern updates. The kitchen was outdated, the bathrooms remained original since the house was built, and the garage foundation had dropped a staggering 6 inches, causing significant structural concerns. Additionally, the front veranda, held together by deteriorating railroad ties, along with a crumbling retaining wall, had become a safety hazard and an eyesore.

Our renovation team took on the challenge, addressing the failing garage foundation and reinforcing the home’s structural integrity. We replaced the rotten veranda and retaining wall with durable, attractive materials that not only repaired the damage but also significantly enhanced the home’s curb appeal. Inside, we brought the kitchen and bathrooms up to modern standards, incorporating the homeowners’ style while ensuring electrical safety and implementing new finishes throughout the house.

The result? A safer, beautifully updated home that the family can enjoy for years to come.

Retirement Retreat

Embarking on a downsizing journey, this family transformed an early 1980s bungalow into their forever home. With retirement on the horizon, the couple envisioned a cozy, comfortable home. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, the dated bungalow underwent a comprehensive modernization.

Situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, the dated bungalow was in dire need of modernization. Walls were removed and spaces reconfigured to create an open layout. Crucial repairs to the basement walls were also addressed.

Brighter, larger doors were installed to infuse the interior with natural light, while a spacious kitchen with an island became the heart of the home. Thoughtfully selected feature lighting and warm, inviting colours and textures enhanced the ambiance. Now, the new owners enjoy the comfort and beauty of their renovated home, looking forward to years of joyful living.

Primary Ensuite Oasis

The primary ensuite oasis project was a complete refresh on an existing 5-piece ensuite.  By removing an unused linen closet, the shower was enlarged to create a luxurious walk-in shower fit for two. The bathtub was updated to a 66-inch freestanding model, with a tiled platform behind acting as a plumbing supply for the deck-mounted faucets and providing a convenient spot for a wine glass or coffee.

Soothing neutral colours throughout the bathroom create a timeless, serene ambiance, accented by a custom tile pattern in the bathing area and shower. The travertine-patterned porcelain floor tile adds visual texture and warmth to the space. An 8-foot double vanity, featuring two linen towers for additional storage, includes a quartz ledge for smaller items like contact lens cases and perfume bottles. Vinyl grass-cloth wallpaper behind the illuminated mirrors introduces another layer of texture, enhancing the room’s colour tones.

Townhouse Renewal

Revitalizing an early 1970s flat roof six-unit structure, this project transformed outdated rental units into modern, desirable homes. Partly built up by previous builders, the renovation began with a thorough demolition, moving from the basement up, including essential asbestos abatement.

The comprehensive upgrades included installing new windows, doors, electrical systems, plumbing, and insulation. Each unit now features individual meters for water, natural gas, and hydro, ensuring accurate billing. The exterior was meticulously finished to blend seamlessly with adjacent buildings, and patios were built for each unit, fully landscaped for a welcoming outdoor space. New asphalt added the finishing touch to the revitalized property.

By taking the ‘bones’ of the existing building and turning it into a profitable venture for the client, this project exemplifies the potential of thoughtful renovation. Remarkably, all six units were rented out within weeks of completion, promising long-term investment benefits for years to come.

Stair & Bath Makeover

Returning to enhance their home further, previous clients decided to upgrade their stairs, upstairs bathroom and hallway. This renovation aimed to create a more refined and cohesive look, complementing previous work.

The staircase transformation included new pickets, square posts, and resurfaced treads and risers to match the existing hardwood flooring, achieving a polished look. The outdated bathroom was modernized with a new shower and vanity. By removing the wall between the old vanity and toilet, a wider vanity with two sinks was installed. New finishes were applied to elevate the overall design.

Hardwood flooring was added to the upstairs hallway, matching the downstairs flooring and enhancing continuity.

This renovation refreshed key areas of the home, showcasing the impact of thoughtful design and meticulous craftsmanship in achieving a cohesive and refined appearance.
